In 2017 in the sphere of Health, the foundation reviewed grant requests submitted by organizations that operate alongside hospitals, for the welfare of the patients that are hospitalized for a variety of reasons, and for their families, attained through community programs or during hospitalization, in the following verticals:
- Supporting patients and their families in the community, including group support, relief activities, and enrichment.
- Information services for patients, their families, and professionals.
- Paramedical treatments, rehabilitation treatments.
In 2017, The Ted Arison Family Foundation supported the following projects:
Asdaka’a Chta Alnuch’aa (Friends to the Bone Marrow). Project: Supporting the enlisting and testing of bone marrow donors and their listing in the Hadassah donors bank, at a sum of $50,000.
Elshu’jan for Juvenile Diabetes (Brave Association for Juvenile Diabetes Patients). Project: Supporting children with Type 1 Diabetes (Juvenile Diabetes) and their families, from diagnosis to their integration in the education system, at a sum of $51,197.
Tikva Umarpe (Hope and Healing). Project: Supporting the program Your Family is With You, at a sum of $49,011.
IsrALS – The Israeli A.L.S Research Association. Project: Supporting the accessibilizing of communication to patients with A.L.S, at a sum of $34,000.
First Hug. Project: Supporting the training program for volunteers and expanding the service into the periphery, at a sum of $49,263.
Neeman – Stroke survivors battling the stroke. Project: Supporting the operation of groups for rehabilitating physical activity, at Sunrise Israel. Project: Supporting the orgnization’s activities for the welfare of children with cancer at Rambam Health Care Campus in Haifa and Soroka Medical center in Beersheba, at a sum of $26,000.
