In 2017 in the sphere of Populations in Distress, the foundation reviewed grant requests submitted by organizations that run programs for the social welfare of seniors in Israel, answering to at least one of the following verticals:
- Programs that promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
- Programs that promote enrichment and leisure.
- Programs that locate, treat, and prevent.
- Programs that promote the accessibilizing of services, and inclusion in society.
In 2017, The Ted Arison Family Foundation supported the following projects:
Yad Riva – Legal Advice for Seniors. Project: Supporting the legal consultation framework, at a sum of $40,000.
Edot Theater. Project: Supporting the production of five projects run by the theater as rehabilitation instruments, at a sum of $30,000.
A.S.K – Organization for Developing Community Services in Kiryat Biyalik. Project: Supporting the purchasing of a vehicle for the transportation of seniors, at a sum of $50,000.
Center for Sexual Harassment Victims – Hasharon. Project: Supporting the program It is Never Too Late – Treatment and Prevention of Sexual Violence in the Third Age Group, at a sum of $50,000.
Clic – Community for Innovation by Seniors. Project: Supporting the program Sabi that involves the purchasing of perishable materials, at a sum of $50,000.
Beit Yigal Alon. Project: Supporting social sessions where Jewish and Arab seniors meet together, at a sum of $28,284.
